Peoples Bank & Trust donates to THS STEM LAB Project

Jim Adcock, Senior VP at Peoples Bank & Trust in Taylorville recently presented a check for $2,750.00 to The Taylorville High School STEM Lab project. In giving back to the community, Peoples Bank & Trust is committed to not only serving our customers, but also the communities it serves.

Taylorville High School instructor, Jodi VanUytven and THS STEM students have been working to develop an exciting new opportunity for Taylorville High School in the form of a uniquely designed STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Mathematics) Lab. The innovative new approach will engage students from all curriculums. The new STEM lab will have four components: a semi-traditional classroom space, an engineering area, research area and a think tank. The STEM lab is a unique opportunity for the students of Taylorville now and in the future.

Accepting the donation are Luc Johnson, Riley Barker, Jody VanUytven, Reese Bergschneider, Karlee Kuntzman and Nick Livingston.
