Terri Beal, AVP, Consumer Banking at Peoples Bank & Trust recently presented a check for $500.00 to Karan Greuel for the Ballard Nature Center. In giving back to the community, Peoples Bank & Trust is committed to not only serving our customers, but also the communities it serves.
The Ballard Nature Center is a privately funded, non-profit, 210 acre nature conservatory whose mission is to provide high quality environmental education to the public. The Center was named after Ernest “Ernie” Ballard, who had a dream of creating a nature center for everyone to enjoy and learn about nature. The center has six miles of trails, a spacious visitor’s center with wonderful displays inside. There’s also a children’s center with puzzles, games and activities for the youngest of adventurers. Schools can arrange for field trips to the center and each summer nature day camps are held for children, as well as families.
