Peoples Bank & Trust Contributes to Tuscola Pass Program

Peoples Bank & Trust recently contributed $1,000 to the Tuscola Pass Program to assist with ongoing financial needs and projects of the popular after school program. Dale Boyer, Community Bank President, along with Lisa McCallister, AVP Consumer Banking, presented the check to Becca Dunn, Director of Tuscola PASS, as well as other staff members and several of the kids that attend the program.

The Tuscola Pass Program is a before and after-school initiative hosted at the Tuscola United Methodist Church.  Established in 2008 as a pilot program, PASS (Providing After School Safety) has demonstrated consistent growth in participation over the years.  The program begins with an hour of morning recreation at 6:30 A.M., followed by two and a half hours of recreational activities, snacks, homework assistance, and weekly Christian lessons after school concluding at 5:30 P.M.  The program is proud to provide the Tuscola community with a “safe PASS between home and school” for school-aged children. The PASS program is continuously evolving to meet the needs of families in Tuscola and the surrounding area.

Community President Boyer shared, “Investing in kids and their activities is very important to Peoples Bank and Trust. We are so happy and excited to provide this financial support to the Tuscola PASS Program to enhance the excellent service that they provide to young students and their families. The growth and continued development of the program over the past decade has been great to see!”

Tuscola PASS Program Director Becca Dunn added, “The Tuscola PASS Program is thankful Peoples Bank and Trust thought of us for this donation. This donation from Peoples Bank and Trust will support our scholarship program, which assists families requiring financial aid for tuition, as well as help fund necessary updates to our supplies.”
