Peoples Bank & Trust Contributes to Arthur Christian School

Peoples Bank & Trust recently contributed $1,500 to Arthur Christian School to assist with ongoing financial needs and projects of the school. Dale Boyer, Community Bank President, along with Dawn Boddy, AVP Consumer Banking, presented the check to Hannah Mast, Director of Finance, and Aaron Gingerich, School Board Member.

Arthur Christian School is a private academic institution located in Arthur, Illinois, with a proud tradition of academic excellence. With an emphasis on character development based upon a Biblical worldview, Arthur Christian School is known for an outstanding student body and skilled staff. The school’s mission is to empower students to be people of hope through Christian character development, discipleship and quality education programs. Established in 1947, Arthur Christian School believes that it is important to not separate the school from the home from the church while striving to be successful. At Arthur Christian School, the primary purpose is to educate each student to the highest possible level of academic achievement by providing an appropriate curriculum in a safe, loving environment. They are committed to helping students grow emotionally and develop social skills. The school believes in creating an environment that encourages learning and social growth through character building and high expectations.

​Students at Arthur Christian School have numerous opportunities to develop, utilize and steward the gifts and talents God has given them. Students have the privilege of participating in student-led worship teams,​ small groups, competitive athletic teams, dramas, student council, and other various events and activities throughout the school year. The school has purposefully grown over the last decade to a student body of almost 300 students and providing amazing opportunities to these students.

Community President Boyer shared, “Investing in kids and their activities is very important to Peoples Bank and Trust. We are blessed to be able to support Arthur Christian School and the excellent education they provide students in and around Douglas County in a faith based environment. The growth and continued development of the school over the last 5 to 10 years has been tremendous and the future plans for the school are sensational!”

Arthur Christian School Board Member Aaron Gingerich added, “Arthur Christian School is thankful to Peoples Bank and Trust for this gift to our school and their continued support with the banking needs we have had during the recent construction project.”
