Peoples Bank & Trust Contributes to Help A Child

Peoples Bank & Trust recently contributed $2,500 to Help A Child, a program administered by Tuscola Community School District #301. Dale Boyer, Community Bank President, and Lisa McCallister, AVP Consumer Banking presented the check to Justin Bozarth, Dean Of Students and a group of Students of Tuscola High School.

The Help A Child program aims to make a direct impact of students at all three Tuscola schools in a positive manner. The Help a Child Program is used to provide items for students such as shoes, hygiene items, clothes and other basic necessities that the student may need. Money given to the program is used to meet the needs of students within the district.

Community President Boyer shared, “There was a story of a young lady in the school system that desperately needed glasses to improve her vision which would in turn help her learn better. Help A Child was able to purchase the glasses for the student whose family couldn’t afford them. That’s the type of positive impact we want make in the communities we serve.”

Dean of Students Bozarth added, “We’re incredibly grateful for Peoples Bank and Trust’s generous donation to our Help A Child fund. For years and years, this account has been dedicated to meet the basic needs of all students in CUSD 301. Whether in times of emergency or in the challenges we face day to day, this account provides resources, support and stability for our students. We want to thank Peoples Bank and Trust for their commitment to help meet our students’ needs.”
